Jonathon Steve Conte

CONTE, Jonathon Steve, age 34, born in Tampa Florida on June 14, 1981. On May 9th, 2016, Jonathon Conte chose to end his own life. He left behind his loving partner, Christopher Holden. Jonathon also left behind a worldwide community of intactivists, people who stood in solidarity with him, battling the genital mutilation of children. Jonathon was a shining inspiration to many and was loved far and wide for his brilliant activism. Jonathon Conte will take his place in history as a human rights hero. He devoted much of his time to the Bay Area Intactivists. He bravely stood up for and spoke out for the rights of all children to bodily integrity. He was an avid cyclist and a talented graphic designer. Jonathon was openly atheist. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him and fully appreciated his significant contributions to our understanding of human rights.
