Story

Annual open invitation to All who would like to help place or visit the Bay Area Intactivists altars during San Francisco’s Dia de Los Muertos celebration. Every November 2 at Garfield Park in the Mission, the Bay Area Intactivists places altars for the dead that have been harmed by forced genital modification. For years, Jonathon had led members in placing altars. Now, he too is remembered in celebration along with other passed Intactivists, who had served believing ‘Intact Genitals are a Human Right’. Celebrated too are young adults, who had also chosen suicide - Kevin Cagle, Alex Hardy, and the uncounted in Africa. These altars are east at Garfield Park and easily located at the top I of steps flanked by candle light. (Midway between 25th & 26th Streets on Harrison Street.)
